The website has been designed to facilitate the location of products by accessing the different sections and categories through the navigation menu located on the left side of the screen. You can also use the search function, which will display the search results based on the entered data.
Once the item is found, you can get more information by clicking on its name or image. This way, you access the product sheet, which provides detailed characteristics of the item, applied promotions, other related products, accessories, and more.
Origin of the Items
The La Exoteca Online team travels throughout the African continent in search of the finest art, fashion, and decoration accessories. Therefore, all items come from Africa. Most of them are acquired from local artisans and merchants.
New and Used Items
Most of the offerings consist of new products. There may be historical or unique pieces that have been part of local traditions. This fact is explicitly indicated. Similarly, there may be small imperfections resulting from their artisanal nature.
Variable Items
Since most products are artisanal, there may be slight differences in finishes or variations in patterns and decorations compared to those shown in the photograph.
Privacy and Security of Personal Data
Once you enter your personal data in the registration process, it will be added to the database and used only to process orders or send periodic information you have subscribed to.

Obtaining an Invoice
A simplified invoice is issued for every purchase made. The data on it is the one provided by the customer upon registration, but the option to issue an invoice with different data is provided by entering them in the requested fields.
Taxes
The prices of the products available for sale on La Exoteca Online include VAT.
Purchases made by individuals or companies from non-EU countries will be exempt from VAT. Import duties or taxes will be paid at the destination by the recipient of the goods. Due to their tax status, the geographical areas corresponding to the territories of the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla are considered non-EU territories for this shipping system. The recipient will be responsible for all customs charges at the destination, as well as any import taxes or duties incurred to receive the goods, whether they accept the goods or not.
Delivery Times
The order is processed in the hours following its purchase. The logistics operator will deliver it approximately within these timeframes:
- (from 2 to 4 business days) Spain and Portugal
- (from 3 to 5 business days) France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark.
- (from 4 to 6 business days) Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, Romania.
- (from 5 to 7 business days) Greece, Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, Croatia.
- (from 6 to 10 business days) Countries not belonging to the European Union.
Customs clearance delays may occur if local authorities decide to confiscate any item contained in a shipment.
Special Products
Orders over 5 kg and large or bulky items are subject to additional shipping charges and delivery times may vary.
Online Returns
If you are not satisfied when you receive your order, you have a period of fourteen (14) business days from the date of receipt to return it. Only shipping costs will be charged for online purchases.
The product must be in perfect condition, in its original packaging, with manuals, accessories, or promotional gifts included if applicable.

Refund for Online Returns
Once the merchandise is received at La Exoteca Online warehouses, and after checking its condition, the refund will be made according to the payment method used by the customer for the online purchase.
The country of delivery must always match the country of purchase.
You will receive a confirmation email indicating the amount that will be refunded to your account.
