
African Wooden Fish
Marionettes shaped like fish from the Bozo ethnic group, originating from Mali, handmade with wood and natural pigments. The Bozo Wooden Fish are jointed marionettes, used in Sogow puppet performances in the villages of Mali to teach young Bozo people about the culture, traditions, and values of their ethnic group. Some of these performances are still carried out today.
